Creating a new season

After setting up a league, the next step is creating a season. Most of the competition parameters are configured at the season level, so it is worth going through the available options before the first round.

Season settings include the ranking points calculation method. Depending on the chosen competition format, additional options appear. For Americano and Mexicano, you can set how many points each match is played to. For the Swiss system, you can configure the number of sets and the threshold required to win each one.

There is also a separate best-of value, which controls how many rounds from the full season count toward the overall standings. If a season has 10 rounds and best of is set to 7, only the player's 7 highest-scoring rounds are included in the ranking. More details on how this works are covered in the Ranking system section.
